At 4:15pm on Sunday, 6 April, we received reports of a fire in the open Coombe Lane near Ascot
A Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service crew from Crowthorne Community Fire Station was sent to the scene.
Upon arrival, the crew discovered that there had been a small fire in the woods that was out on arrival. Firefighters damped the area down to prevent reignition
The crew was at the scene for approximately fifty minutes.
