At 6:19am on Monday, 29 June, we received reports of a field fire near Nine Mile Ride near Crowthorne.

Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service crews from Wokingham, Ascot and Theale fire stations were sent to the scene alongside an Officer and a Water Carrier from Crowthorne Fire Station.

On arrival, crews discovered a large woodland fire. Crews have surrounded the fire and are using five hose reels and beaters to dampen down the fire and prevent it spreading.
