At 12:46pm on Friday, 7 August, we received reports of a fire on the northbound carriageway of the A34 near East Ilsley.
Two Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service crews from Newbury Fire Station were sent to the scene alongside a crew from Oxfordshire Fire and Rescue Service.
On arrival, crews discovered a small fire in the central reservation. Firefighters used two hose reel jets to extinguish the fire.
Crews were at the scene for approximately 10 minutes.
