Fire on the M4(E)

At 10:16am on Wednesday, 29 July, we received reports of a fire between Junction 6 and Junction 7 on the eastbound carriageway of the M4.

Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service crews from Slough and Maidenhead fire stations were sent to the scene.

On arrival, crews discovered a small grass fire next to the motorway. Firefighters used hose reels to extinguish the fire.

Crews were at the scene for approximately 21 minutes.
