At 12:07am on Friday, 10 July, we received reports of a fire in the open near Friars Keep in Bracknell.

Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service crews from Bracknell, Ascot and Wokingham fire stations were sent to the scene, alongside one Officer. One crew from Surrey Fire and Rescue Service was also sent to the scene.

Upon arrival, crews found woodland on fire. Firefighters one main jet and two hose reels to put out the fire, before using a thermal imaging camera to check for hotspots.

They were on scene for approximately two hours and 52 minutes.

A crew from Bracknell Fire Station later returned to the scene for a reinspection.
