At 10:49am on Sunday, 27 September, we received reports of a fire on Clarefield Close in Maidenhead.

Two Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service crews from Maidenhead Fire Station were sent to the scene, alongside one Officer and one crew from Buckinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service.

Upon arrival, crews found a tumble dryer on fire in a ground-floor kitchen. Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used two hose reels to put out the fire.

They were on scene for approximately one hour and seven minutes.
