At 9:12am on Saturday, 6 April, we received reports of a fire in a high-rise building on Wensley Road in Reading.
Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service crews from Wokingham Road, Bracknell, Whitley Wood and Theale fire stations were sent to the scene alongside an Aerial Ladder Platform and an Officer.
Upon arrival, crews discovered a small microwave fire. Firefighters used a carbon dioxide fire extinguisher and a fire blanket to put the fire out.
Crews were at the scene for approximately 56 minutes.
