At 8:21pm on Saturday, 12 September, we received reports of a fire on Windermere Road in Reading.
Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service crews from Wokingham Road and Whitley Wood fire stations were sent to the scene.
Upon arrival, crews found a small fire in a washing machine. Firefighters used one carbon dioxide extinguisher to put out the fire, before using a fan to ventilate the smoke from the property.
They were on scene for approximately 46 minutes.
