At 11:20pm on Monday, 17 August, we received reports of a fire on Simpsons Way in Slough.

Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service crews from Slough, Langley and Windsor fire stations were sent to the scene, alongside one Officer.

Upon arrival, crews found a large pile of wood chippings on fire. Firefighters used one main jet and one hose reel to put out the fire and dampen down the area.

They were on scene for approximately one hour and 39 minutes.

One crew from Slough Fire Station later returned to the scene for a reinspection.
