At 5:34am on Monday, 31 August, we received reports of a roof fire on High Street in Slough.

Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service crews from Slough, Langley, Windsor, Maidenhead, Bracknell, Whitley Wood and Caversham Road fire stations were sent to the scene, alongside an Incident Command Unit from Maidenhead Fire Station and two Officers.

Two crews, an Aerial Ladder Platform and one Officer from Buckinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service, and one crew from London Fire Brigade were also sent to the scene.

Upon arrival, crews found the exterior balcony of a fifth floor flat on fire. Firefighters used one main jet to put out the fire and make the scene safe.

They were on scene for approximately one hour and 25 minutes.
