At 6:19pm on Thursday, 30 April, we received reports of a fire on Loddon Drive in Wargrave.

Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service crews from Wokingham Road, Caversham Road, Wokingham, Whitley Wood, Mortimer and Newbury fire stations were sent to the scene, alongside the Aerial Ladder Platform and Decontamination and Environmental Protection Unit from Whitley Wood Fire Station, and one Officer.

Two crews and one Officer from Oxfordshire Fire and Rescue Service were also sent to the scene.

Upon arrival, crews found a fire located on the first floor of a house. Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used one main jet and 2 hose reels to put out the fire.

They were on scene for approximately six hours and 18 minutes.

One crew from Wokingham Road Fire Station later returned to the scene for a reinspection.
