At 2:23pm on Sunday, 5 March, we received reports of a fire on Chatsworth Avenue in Winnersh.
Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service crews from Wokingham Road, Wokingham and Whitley Wood were sent to the scene.
Upon arrival, crews discovered a kitchen fire. After ensuring that the occupants and their pet cats were safe, firefighters equipped in breathing apparatus extinguished the fire using a hose reel jet and carbon dioxide extinguishers.
Crews were on the scene for approximately 50 minutes.
