At 3:05pm on Tuesday, 7 July, we received reports of a fire on Reading Road in Woodley.

Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service crews from Wokingham Road, Caversham Road and Whitley Wood fire stations were sent to the scene, alongside one Officer.

Upon arrival, crews found a fire involving one gazebo, one outbuilding, one garage and two properties. Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used two hose reels to put out the fire and dampen down the area, before using a fan to clear the smoke.

Crews currently remain on scene at this time.
