At 3:24pm on Thursday, 15 December, we received reports of a fire at a property on Andover Road, Wash Water, Newbury.
Two Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service crews from Newbury Fire Station and a crew from Theale Community Fire Station were sent to the scene, alongside one RBFRS Officer.
Upon arrival, crews found a fire affecting a wood burner.
Two firefighters wearing breathing apparatus extinguished the fire using a hose reel, before clearing the remaining smoke using a large powered fan.
Crews were on the scene for approximately one hour and 51 minutes.
