At 1:07am on Saturday, 9 May, we received reports of internal flooding on Great Knollys Street in Reading.

One Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service crew from Caversham Road Fire Station was sent to the scene, alongside the Hazardous Environmental Response Unit from Whitley Wood Fire Station.

Upon arrival, crews found a large water leak in a block of flats. Crews isolated the water from one of the flats, before using two aqua vacuums to remove excess water from the building.

They were on scene for approximately one hour and 21 minutes.
