At 2:13pm on Tuesday, 7 July, we received reports of a fire at a recycling centre on St George’s Lane in Ascot.

Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service crews from Ascot and Bracknell fire stations were sent to the scene.

Upon arrival, crews found a machine with an overheated engine. Firefighters used one hose reel and on-site dry powder extinguishers to make the scene safe.

They were on scene for approximately 55 minutes.
