At 7:51am on Friday, 3 April, we received reports of a fire on Island Road in Reading.
Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service crews from Caversham Road, Wokingham Road and Whitley Wood fire stations were sent to the scene.
Upon arrival, crews discovered a small fire involving machinery. Firefighters used a carbon dioxide extinguisher to put the fire out before using a thermal imaging camera to check for hotspots.
Crews were at the scene for approximately 35 minutes.
