At 6:05am on Sunday, 29 June, we received reports of an industrial property fire on Colthrop Lane in Thatcham.
Two Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service crews from Newbury Fire Station were sent to the scene, alongside one Officer.
Upon arrival, crews found one industrial general waste compactor on fire. Two firefighters equipped with breathing apparatus used one hose reel, one main jet and one hydrant to put out the fire and make the scene safe.
They were on scene for approximately three hours and 26 minutes.
One crew from Newbury Fire Station later returned to the scene for a reinspection.
