Industrial Fire in Slough

At 1:36pm on Friday, 5 June, we received reports of an industrial fire on Colnbrook By-Pass in Slough.

Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service crews from Langley, Slough, Windsor and Maidenhead fire stations were sent to the scene, alongside two Officers.

Two crews from London Fire Brigade and an Aerial Ladder Platform from Buckinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service also attended the scene.

Upon arrival, crews found a fire involving a heating tank. Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used one hose reel to put out the fire.

They were on scene for approximately two hours and 28 minutes.

UPDATE 9:35am Monday, 8 June:

The following morning, one crew from Langley Fire Station returned to the scene for a reinspection, where they used a thermal imaging camera to monitor the temperature of the area and ensure the scene was safe.
