Fire in Maidenhead

At 12:19pm on Monday, 6 October, we received reports of a fire on Hungerford Drive in Maidenhead.

Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service crews from Maidenhead and Slough fire stations were sent to the scene, alongside two Officers and one crew from Buckinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service.

Upon arrival, crews found a kitchen fire. Firefighters equipped with breathing apparatus used one hose reel to put out the fire. One person was rescued from the property with assistance from a member of the public. Firefighters, working alongside Thames Valley Police, then provided immediate emergency care to both people before the arrival of South Central Ambulance Service. Crews also used a ventilation fan to clear the smoke from the property.

They were on scene for approximately one hour and 12 minutes.
