At 2:50pm on Monday, 18 May, we received reports of a fire on Waterloo Rise in Reading.

Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service crews from Caversham Road, Wokingham Road and Theale fire stations were sent to the scene alongside an Officer.

On arrival, crews discovered a fire in a kitchen. Firefighters equipped with breathing apparatus used one hose reel jet to extinguish the fire before using a fan to ventilate smoke from the property. Three people were taken into the care of South Central Ambulance Service.

Crews were at the scene for approximately one hour and 40 minutes.
