At 11:34pm on Friday, 9 October, we received reports of a fire on Greenham Wood in Bracknell.

Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service crews from Bracknell, Ascot and Wokingham fire stations were sent to the scene, alongside one Officer.

Upon arrival, crews found a fire in the ground-floor kitchen of the property. Prior to the crews’ arrival, the fire was mostly extinguished by the occupants of the property using a fire extinguisher. Crews use one hose reel to extinguish the fire and used a thermal imagine camera to monitor the temperature and ensure the scene was safe. Crews also gave immediate emergency care to one person.

Crews were on scene for approximately three hours and 23 minutes.
