At 6:37pm on Tuesday, 23 June, we received reports of a fire at a commercial building on Forbury Road in Reading.

Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service crews from Caversham Road, Wokingham Road and Whitley Wood fire stations were sent to the scene.

Upon arrival, crews found that the fire alarm was caused by water ingress on the seventh floor of the building. Crews made the scene safe before handing over to onsite staff.

Crews were on scene for approximately 47 minutes.
