At 11:30am on Monday, 22 June, we received reports of a boat fire near Barry Avenue in Windsor.
Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service crews from Ascot and Slough fire stations were sent to the scene, alongside the Water Rescue Unit from Slough Fire Station and one Officer from Buckinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service.
Upon arrival, crews found a boat in the middle of the river with the engine smoking. Crews rescued the boat and moored it, before using a thermal imaging camera to ensure the engine was at a safe temperature.
They were on scene for approximately 40 minutes.
