At 10:25am on Monday, 30 December, we received reports of an incident on Snelsmore Common in Newbury.
A Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service crew from Newbury Fire Station was sent to the scene, alongside the Animal and Water Rescue Unit from Caversham Road Fire Station and one Officer.
Upon arrival, crews found one person and their dog stuck in deep mud. The crews used specialist equipment to rescue the person and the dog, before placing them in the care of South Central Ambulance Service.
They were on scene for approximately two hours and 12 minutes.
