At 2:17pm on Wednesday, 28 October, we received reports of an incident on Vansittart Estate in Windsor.

A Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service crew from Windsor Fire Station was sent to the scene alongside an Officer and the Heavy Rescue Unit from Theale Community Fire Station.

On arrival, crews discovered a person in need of rescue from an elevated platform. Firefighters used the Heavy Rescue Unit’s working platform to rescue the person before placing them in the care of South Central Ambulance Service.

Crews were at the scene for approximately one hour and 50 minutes.
