At 6.39pm on Monday, 15 May, we received reports of smoke coming from a first floor window at a property on Elm Park Road, Reading.
Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service crews from Caversham Road, Wokingham Road and Whitley Wood, along with one Officer were sent to the scene.
Upon arrival, crews discovered a fire on the first floor.
Four firefighters wearing breathing apparatus extinguished the fire using two hose reels.
Fire crews were on the scene for approximately 2 hours and 20 minutes.
