At 7:28am on Wednesday, 24 June, we received a call from South Central Ambulance Service to reports of a road traffic collision on Southcote Lane in Reading.

Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service crews from Caversham Road and Wokingham Road fire stations were sent to the scene.

Upon arrival, crews found a collision involving two cars with one person trapped. Crews rescued the person from the vehicle, before placing them and one other person in the care of South Central Ambulance Service.

Crews were on scene for approximately 40 minutes.
