At 6:15pm on Saturday, 9 May, we received reports of a road traffic collision on Bowling Green Road in Thatcham.

Two Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service crews from Newbury Fire Station were sent to the scene.

Upon arrival, crews found a collision involving two cars with one person trapped. Crews rescued the person from the vehicle, before placing them in the care of South Central Ambulance Service and handing the scene over to Thames Valley Police.

Crews were on scene for approximately 33 minutes.
