Road traffic collision near Maidenhead

At 9:32pm on Saturday, 2 May, we received reports of a road traffic collision on the southbound carriageway of the A404 near Maidenhead.

Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service crews from Slough, Maidenhead and Windsor Fire Stations were sent to the scene alongside an Officer.

On arrival, crews discovered a collision involving two vehicles. Firefighters worked with Thames Valley Police to make the scene safe while one person was taken into the care of South Central Ambulance Service.

Tragically, one person passed away at the scene of the incident. Our thoughts remain with their family and friends at this time.

Crews were at the scene for approximately one hour and 30 minutes before handing the scene over to Thames Valley Police.
