At 2:37pm on Thursday, 2 July, we received reports of a road traffic collision on the A339 near Thatcham.
Two Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service crews from Newbury Fire Station were sent to the scene, alongside the Heavy Rescue Unit from Theale Community Fire Station.
Upon arrival, crews found a collision involving two cars and one lorry. Crews rescued two people from vehicles and gave them immediate emergency care, before placing them and three other people in the care of South Central Ambulance Service. The scene was then handed over to Thames Valley Police.
Crews were on scene for approximately one hour and 17 minutes.
