At 8:26am on Tuesday, 30 June, we received reports of a road traffic collision on the northbound carriageway of the A34 near Chieveley.

Two Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service crews from Newbury Fire Station were sent to the scene.

On arrival, crews discovered a collision involving two large vehicles. Firefighters made the scene safe and provided immediate emergency care to one person.

Crews were at the scene for approximately 30 minutes before handing over to Thames Valley Police.
