At 10:57am on Wednesday, 8 July, we received a call from South Central Ambulance Service to reports of a road traffic collision on the A34 northbound between East Ilsley and Chilton.
Two Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service crews from Newbury Fire Station and one crew from Hungerford Fire Station were sent to the scene, alongside one Officer.
Upon arrival, crews found a collision involving one car. Prior to crews’ arrival, one person was rescued from the car by South Central Ambulance Service, Helicopter Emergency Medical Service (HEMS) and Thames Valley Police, and placed in the care of South Central Ambulance Service and HEMS. The scene was then handed over to Thames Valley Police.
Crews were on scene for approximately 17 minutes.
