At 10:54am on Wednesday, 15 March, we received reports of a road traffic collision on the northbound carriageway of the A34.
Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service crews from Newbury and Whitley Wood Fire Stations were sent to the scene alongside the Heavy Rescue Unit from Theale Community Fire Station.
Upon arrival, crews discovered an overturned heavy goods vehicle. The driver self-extracted before crews arrived and was taken of the care of South Central Ambulance Service. Firefighters helped to secure the scene and direct traffic.
Crews were at the scene for approximately 18 minutes before handing over to Thames Valley Police.
