At 6:29pm on Wednesday, 19 August, we received reports of a road traffic collision on the M4 eastbound between Junction 10 in Winnersh and Junction 8.9 in Holyport.

Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service crews from Wokingham, Wokingham Road, Whitley Wood and Caversham Road fire stations were sent to the scene.

Upon arrival, crews found a collision involving two cars. Crews made the scene safe and gave immediate emergency care to one person before placing them in the care of South Central Ambulance Service.

Crews were on scene for approximately 57 minutes.
