At 12:37pm on Thursday, 27 August, we received reports of a road traffic collision on the M4 eastbound between Membury Services and Junction 14 in Shefford Woodlands.

One Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service crew from Hungerford Community Fire Station was sent to the scene, alongside one Officer and two crews from Dorset & Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service.

Upon arrival, crews found a collision involving 10 vehicles. Crews made the scene safe and placed three people in the care of South Central Ambulance Service, before handing the scene over to National Highways.

Crews were on scene for approximately 49 minutes.
