At 12:47pm on Wednesday, 2 September, we received a call from Thames Valley Police to reports of a road traffic collision on the M4 eastbound between Junction 10 in Winnersh and Junction 8/9 for Holyport.

Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service crews from Whitley Wood, Wokingham, Wokingham Road and Caversham Road fire stations were sent to the scene.

Upon arrival, crews found a collision involving one car. Crews used tools to make the scene safe, and gave one person immediate emergency care before placing them in the care of South Central Ambulance Service.

Crews were on scene for approximately 48 minutes.
