At 11:57pm on Thursday, 22 October, we received reports of a road traffic collision on the westbound carriageway of the M4 between Junctions 13 and 14.

A Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service crew from Newbury Fire Station was sent to the scene alongside a crew from Oxfordshire Fire and Rescue Service.

On arrival, the crews discovered a collision involving one vehicle. Firefighters provided immediate emergency care to one person before placing them in the care of South Central Ambulance Service.

Crews were at the scene for approximately one hour and 10 minutes.
