At 8:17am on Monday, 19 June, we received reports of a road traffic collision on the westbound carriageway of the M4 between Junction 8/9 and Junction 10.
Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service crews from Slough, Maidenhead and Windsor fire stations were sent to the scene.
Upon arrival, crews discovered a collision involving five vehicles. Firefighters secured the scene and made the vehicles safe whilst several people were taken into the care of South Central Ambulance Service.
Crews were on the scene for approximately 44 minutes.
