At 7:04am on Monday, 24 August, we received report of road traffic collision on the westbound carriageway of the M4 between Junctions 7 and 8/9.

Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service crews from Slough and Maidenhead fire stations were sent to the scene.

On arrival, crews discovered a collision involving three vehicles. Firefighters provided immediate emergency care to one person and helped to make the scene safe.

Crews were at the scene for approximately 45 minutes before handing the scene over to National Highways.
