Road traffic collision on the M4 between Junction 14 for Shefford Woodlands and Membury Services

At 4.14am on Thursday, 11 January, we were called by Thames Valley Police to a road traffic collision on the M4 between Junction 14 for Shefford Woodlands and Membury Services.  

Two Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service crews from Newbury and one Officer were sent to the scene, together with a crew from Oxfordshire County Council Fire and Rescue Service and the Heavy Rescue Unit from Theale Community Fire Station. 

Firefighters found a road traffic collision involving a lorry and a van. One person was trapped, so was released and placed into the care of South Central Ambulance Service. Crews were on scene for about two hours before handing over to Thames Valley Police.
