At 6:39pm on Tuesday, 19 May, we received reports of a fire on Common Hill in Englefield.

Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service crews from Caversham Road and Theale fire stations were sent to the scene.

On arrival, crews discovered a shed on fire. Firefighters equipped with breathing apparatus used one hose reel to extinguish the fire before using a thermal imaging camera to check for hotspots.

Crews were at the scene for approximately 30 minutes.
