At 6:48pm on Monday, 29 June, we received reports of a fire on Newbury Road in Great Shefford.

Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service crews from Newbury, Hungerford and Lambourn fire stations were sent to the scene.

On arrival, crews discovered a fire in an outbuilding. Firefighters equipped with breathing apparatus used two hose reels and two main jets to extinguish the fire.

Crews were at the scene for approximately two hours and 20 minutes before returning later to reinspect the site.
