At 11:06pm on Wednesday, 29 July, we received reports of a fire on Skyllings in Newbury.

Two Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service crews from Newbury Fire Station were sent to the scene.

On arrival, crews found a shed fire that had spread along a nearby fence. Firefighters used one hose reel to extinguish the fire before using a thermal imaging camera to check for hotspots.

Crews were at the scene for approximately one hour and 40 minutes before another crew from Whitley Wood Fire Station returned the following morning to reinspect the scene.
