At 2:46pm on Friday, 13 January, we received reports of a partial chimney collapse on Friar Street in Reading.
A Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service crew from Whitley Wood Fire Station was sent to the scene alongside an Aerial Ladder Platform and an Officer.
The roof is still deemed as unsafe and a cordon remains in place with police in control. Please avoid the area if possible.
Crews were on the scene for around one hour and 45 minutes.
