At 6:20pm on Tuesday, 21 July, we received reports of a vehicle fire on the A33 southbound in Reading.

Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service crews from Caversham Road, Whitley Wood and Wokingham Road fire stations were sent to the scene.

Upon arrival, crews found one car on fire. Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used one hose reel to put out the fire, before handing the scene over to Thames Valley Police.

Crews were on scene for approximately 39 minutes.
