At 7:35am on Tuesday, 4 February, we received a call from National Highways to reports of a vehicle fire on the M4 Eastbound between Junction 8 in Holyport and Junction 7 in Slough.
Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service crews from Maidenhead, Windsor, Langley and Whitley Wood fire stations were sent to the scene.
Upon arrival, crews found one car on fire. One firefighter equipped with breathing apparatus used one hose reel to put out the fire, before using a ventilation fan to clear smoke from the area and make the scene safe.
They were on scene for approximately 39 minutes.
