At 11:38am on Wednesday, 8 April, we received reports of a vehicle on fire on the M4 eastbound between Junctions 10 (Winnersh) and 8.9 (Holyport).
Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service crews from Wokingham Road, Whitley Wood, Bracknell and Windsor fire stations were sent to the scene.
Upon arrival, crews found one car on fire. Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used one hose reel to put out the fire, before handing the scene over to National Highways.
Crews were on scene for approximately 40 minutes.
