At 6:29pm on Wednesday, 11 June we received reports of a car fire on the M4 Westbound near Junction 13 in Chieveley.
Two Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service crews from Newbury Fire Station attended the scene, alongside one officer.
Upon arrival, crews found one car on fire. Two firefighters equipped with breathing apparatus utilised a single hose reel jet to extinguish the fire. The scene was handed over to National Highways.
They were on the scene for approximately 31 minutes.
