At 2:14pm on Monday, 6 July, we received a call from Hampshire and Isle of Wight Fire & Rescue Service to reports of a vehicle on fire on Peasemore in Newbury.

Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service crews from Newbury and Mortimer fire stations were sent to the scene.

Upon arrival, crews found that a combine harvester on fire was out on arrival. Firefighters used one hose reel to cool the vehicle and dampen down the area.

They were on scene for approximately 43 minutes.
